The charging machine MR 50 is used for charging and discharging between the main tank and auxiliary tanks. The included double check valve allows the flow to go in two directions. The control centre has a separate connection centre (AC) with a total of 3 relays and 4 sensor inputs. All settings are made in the separate control panel.
Applications:
Sys 50 - Charging / discharging between tank/tanks. Charging from main tank to extra slave tank / tanks. Charging can be stopped when the slave tank is fully charged. Discharge from the slave tank occurs when the main tank drops below the selected temperature. Used to easily increase the accumulator volume with one or more tanks, even in the event of a lack of space directly next to the main tank.
Sys 51 - Charging / discharging between tank / tank with extra charge. At e.g. solar loop in the main tank, this system is used to optimise the efficiency of the solar panels. By filling the tanks in two steps, the charging volume is also maximized. It is also possible to use this to prevent the system from overheating during eg wood burning.
Sensors that are not used for control can be used for temperature reading in a separate menu.
Function Sys 50
Charge
When the boiler has heated the main tank so that the temperature is higher than the set temperature, the charge pump starts and transfers hot water to the slave tank. The sensor at the bottom of the slave tank stops charging when the slave tank is fully charged.
Discharge
When the main tank gets cold, the discharge pump starts and transfers hot water from the top of the slave tank to the top of the main tank. This transfer takes place slowly so that a sharp boundary arises between hot and cold water, so-called layering. The discharge pump is started and stopped at intervals as the heat is consumed in the main tank. The discharge can only be started if the slave tank is hotter than the main tank.
Additional heat
Discharge continues until the sensor in the top of the slave tank is below the set temperature. Then the discharge pump is stopped and any additional heat in the main tank is started automatically.
Function Sys 51
Extra charge
A fourth sensor can be placed in the main tank to force-run the charge pump and in this way optimise the use of any solar heat. Because heat can be supplied in two steps, the solar loop can first heat the primary tank and then heat the entire system. Only then is the temperature of the entire volume increased. It is also possible to use this function to prevent the system from overheating during, for example, wood burning.
Laddomat 5000 - patented double check valve, DBV
To prevent involuntary circulation between the tanks, there is a double check valve. It has a built-in restriction of the flow during discharge, which means that optimal layering occurs. Since the non-return valve is spring-loaded in both directions, it is completely position-independent.
